The biannual Highland Park Community Market, held on May 31, brought together over 200 attendees to celebrate local creativity, connection, and community spirit. With more than 34 diverse vendors, live music, kids activities, delicious food, and heartfelt volunteer support, the event was a true reflection of what community can achieve together. Special thanks go to the dedicated planning team, volunteers, and sponsors who made it all possible. As we continue building this vibrant marketplace, we invite new volunteers to join the Market Planning Committee and help shape its future.

About 20 bags of litter were removed from our streets, alleys and parks. These residents care about our neighbourhood that we all call home and showed great pride in maintaining the natural beauty of this established community.

In March, the Highland Park Community lost a very dear neighbour named Dennis. Dennis was a community…

One of the Lifetime Members of the Highland Park Community Association, Sandy Handy, passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 85. For those who knew her, she was a smart lady, with a wry sense of humour, who was an incredibly dedicated volunteer with the community, and our local elementary, Buchanan School.
