Mrs. Ashdown was pleased to join Highland Park Preschool after retiring from a long and rewarding career as a teacher with the Calgary Board of Education. She has a Bachelor of Education and Early Childhood Diploma, and brings valuable experience with individualized programming for special needs students and programming for English as a Second language students.
Mrs. Ashdown enjoyed getting to know all of our students and families as a Teacher Assistant and substitute Teacher in 2018/19. She was thrilled to begin leading our Tuesday and Thursday classes in June 2019.
Morning Teacher Assistant
Miss Rubeen Gosal is thrilled to be a part of the Highland Park Preschool as a Teacher’s Assistant. She holds a Child Development Assistant Certificate (Level 1) and a Disability Studies Certificate from Mount Royal University.
Miss Rubeen fell in love with working with children during one of her practicums at a local daycare. From that point on, she has been focused on creating a career, within this field. She loves helping and encouraging children to learn new things. Having the opportunity to learn more about each child's personality and watching them grow as individuals is one of her favourite parts about this position. We're grateful that Rubeen has been part of our team right since the school opened in 2016!
