Sabrina Dahlke
Monday/Wednesday/Friday Teacher

Mrs. Sabrina is excited to be working with Highland Park Preschool.  Sabrina graduated from Mount Royal with her Early Learning and Child Care Diploma and brings over 10 years of experience to the Highland Park Preschool team.  Sabrina has experience working with children in a variety of settings including teaching preschool, running a program for preschool aged children at a daycare and running her own day-home.  She has also been a regular substitute teacher at Highland Park Preschool.

Young children are already enthusiastic learners, eager to discover new concepts and experience the world around them, which is why Sabrina is so passionate about bringing excitement and encouragement into the classroom.  Sabrina enjoys hoola hooping and yoga, she loves learning new things and spending time with her little family.

Laura Ashdown
Tuesday/Thursday Teacher

Mrs. Ashdown was pleased to join Highland Park Preschool after retiring from a long and rewarding career as a teacher with the Calgary Board of Education. Laura taught all subject areas, and grades Kindergarten through Grade 6. She has a Bachelor of Education and Early Childhood Diploma, and brings valuable experience with individualized programming for special needs students and programming for English as a Second language students.

Laura enjoyed getting to know all of our students and families as a Teacher Assistant and substitute Teacher in 2018/19. She was thrilled to begin leading our Tuesday and Thursday classes in June 2019.

Rubeen Gosal
Morning Teacher Assistant

Miss Rubeen Gosal is thrilled to be a part of the Highland Park Preschool as a Teacher’s Assistant. She holds a Child Development Assistant Certificate (Level 1) and a Disability Studies Certificate from Mount Royal University.

Miss Rubeen fell in love with working with children during one of her practicums at a local daycare. From that point on, she has been focused on creating a career, within this field. She loves helping and encouraging children to learn new things. Having the opportunity to learn more about each child's personality and watching them grow as individuals is one of her favourite parts about this position. We're grateful that Rubeen has been part of our team right since the school opened in 2016!
