Neighbour Day

  • Highland Park Community Association 3716 2 Street Northwest Calgary, AB, T2K 0Y5 Canada (map)

Neighbour Day is an opportunity to celebrate the neighbourliness and community we shared following the 2013 floods, and the resilience and kindness we showed each other through the pandemic. How do you plan to celebrate? Want to organize a block party, a scavenger hunt, or maybe a community trash pick-up event? HPCA will do what we can to support you with your event. Contact president@hpca.ca to explain your idea and make your request for support. You may be able to borrow a large HCPA BBQ or receive a small micro-grant. The City of Calgary has also waived the permit fees for closing your street to traffic to hold a block party. For more information, and to apply for a free block party permit, go to calgary.ca/neighbourday. Check HPCA’s Facebook page for more information on activities that day, as we may be hosting a hot dog and marshmallow roast that evening at our grounds.
