I have a love for helping children reach their full potential. Upon completing my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of Calgary, I have engaged in a variety of work. In addition to raising my four children, I’ve run my own private childcare business.

After obtaining my Alberta Child Care Supervisor Certificate from the province of Alberta, I volunteered with Alberta Health Services in their Helping hands program offering support to parents of twins and triplets. I also successfully ran the intergenerational preschool program at the Bethany Care Center.

Prior to joining Highland Park Preschool a few years ago, I worked with Kids Developmental Services and become familiar with the preschool while working directly with students in their program. I’m excited to learn and grow with your children and help them discover new experiences.

Hello preschool friends and families! My name is Ms. Chantal and I am ecstatic to be a Teacher Assistant at Highland Park Preschool. I am very grateful to be a part of the Highland Park team! I am a certified Early Learning Educator with an Early Learning and Education Diploma that I obtained from Bow Valley College. With that I bring experience in working with young children within the classroom and in a variety of settings through a series of practicums, volunteering and summer job positions. In my spare time I love to spend time with my dog and family as well as travel and go on hikes and spontaneous day trips whenever I can.

Working and teaching children has always been my passion as it excites me each day as every day is never the same. I always love to watch children learn, explore and express their unique self. What also excites me is their curiosity and how they thrive when it comes to their discoveries and how much I myself am able to learn, connect and grow alongside them every day as an educator. One of my favorite quotes is from Albert Einstein, “Creativity is Intelligence Having Fun.”, as young children and their creativity is the foundation that fosters learning as a whole.

Teacher Assistant - Monday/Wednesday/Friday

I am so excited to be part of the team at Highland Park Preschool. My start to teaching and education came late in life, but I am so thankful that I found my passion. I was always searching for the perfect job, one that would keep me engaged and inspired. After spending some time volunteering in classrooms, I was hooked. I went back to school to complete an Education Assistant certificate at Bow Valley College and was lucky enough to work in a kindergarten class for several years. In those years, I have worked with many different learners, all with varying needs. I have learned so much. Along with my provincial Early Childhood Educator certification, I bring to the classroom my love for Land Based Learning and Play Based learning, and a strong desire to make every family’s introduction to education a fun and positive experience.

My free time is spent outdoors in nature with my kids, camping, hiking, biking, fishing, paddling around in the water with our kayak and generally just enjoying everything nature has to offer.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to learn and grow with your little humans.
